Who we are

South End Motors Limited has traded from Island Bay under the same ownership since 2017. A second workshop opened in Te Aro in 2024 to catch Wellington City commuters, and a third has just opened in Newtown.

The team works on European and Japanese cars alike — warrants, servicing, general repairs, tyres and auto electrical diagnostics, all under one roof at each workshop.

Ask our customers and the same word comes up more than any other: friendly. Straight-up quotes before any work starts, a call to explain what's actually wrong, and being told honestly when something doesn't need doing yet — that's what our own Google reviews talk about most, across every location.

How we work

We look at the vehicle, we call you with what we've found and what it will cost, and we don't start until you've said yes. That's the whole method, and it's the thing most of our reviews are actually about.
